English Language Arts:
Grammar


Comprehension Strategy:
  • Fix -up stragety- students ability to go back and make corrections that will help them to better understand.

  • Fluency Example: "If what you are reading doesn't make sense re-read with a slower pace."
  • Making connections with Text based on your background knowledge.



Writing:


  • Student will be graded on their ability to construct a sentence.

  • Daily I check their writing abilities in all content areas.

  • I even check their written explanation on how to flexibly solve work problems.


Words Works:
Spelling-

Not only will I assess their abilities to spell the words.

I will evaluate how they are able to put the spelling words in a well constructed sentence.


Vocabulary-

All content areas will have its own vocabulary , so don't seek for one particular list.
Remind student the review all vocabulary (math, science , social studies, and language arts.)

Math:

Daily word problems - I will also be reviewing basic math skills multiplications, subtracting w/ zeros and division.

  • Many students had difficulty with the multiplication, please remember to practice basic facts.
